Machine learning is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) that has the ability to learn without being explicitly programed. It concentrates on the advancement of the program where it can show itself to develop and change when there is another new information introduced. Machine Learning is popular nowadays, as it is a good way to make machine more human-like, and it help us to solve our problem. It tends to help peoples’ need since the usage of this machine learning are vary like search engine, speech recognition systems, handwriting recognition, and etc.
In my opinion, machine learning is exceptionally valuable as it can do calculations and forecasts faster than people. It is much more supportive when users are confronted with an incredible amount of problem since it can discover data as quick as could be expected under the circumstances. Thus, people can settle on choices and activities, which is beneficial later on, in light of the result of the predictions and computations. The example of today’s machine learning is speech recognition, Microsoft Cortana, which can be utilized to answers questions. Another example that utilized on Facebook is face recognition, that may automatically tag the people who show up in the posted photographs and Facebook’s News Feed uses machine learning to customize each member’s feed. If a member frequently stops scrolling in order to read or like a particular friend’s posts, the News Feed will start to show more of that friend’s activity earlier in the feed.
As I mentioned above, machine learning have many useful uses but in building a useful machine language, I think of an application that is able to help lawyers. Machine learning calculations are fit for building computer models that understand complex phenomena by distinguishing designs and deducing rules from information. They set out the reasons for their decision by referencing the law, facts, public policy, and other considerations upon which the outcome was based. Machine learning can find correlations between this opinion and other factors to determine whether there are any irregularities that impact a decision and test the system’s strength – such as racial factors for example. It can also help lawyers to find which judges could potentially be more sympathetic to their client. This application is beneficial so it could provide law firms with a cheaper, better, and alternative.

Odd Semester 2016/2017
School of Computer Science, Bina Nusantara University
Just like i said before on my previous post, as a part of the SOCS community on BINUS i am a part of HIMTI and they had an event called HTTP. It’s stand for Himti Togetherness and Top Performance. Where we can meet new friends as SOCS momber CS Cyber, MAT, GAT , also they have games, performances and even apps showcase.
Bina Nusantara not only gives lessons in class, but we can also learn to develop our ability to organize our soft skills. So this is a good point of BINUS to make their alumnus could get a better job with better skills
This time we continue the second FEP program in BINUS AO for Academic orientation where they will simulate how daily life on campus to us as new students.
Also we receive some lecture such as language class and basic programming class where we are introduced to pseudo code and algorithm.
Freshmen Enrichment Program (FEP) is the designation orientation in BINUS university, Before the lecture began, we must follow the session FEP General Orientation (GO), Academic Orientation (AO) and Campus Life Orientation (CLO),
Day one
I went to BINUS Syahdan K3B room, and got assigned to the DBN02 class consisting of students majoring in Computer Science and Accounting global class. The first day begins with a self-introduction and followed by a minigame held by the BC, we as new students known as “buddy” and seniors that will guide us for FEP is known as “buddy coordinator” or “BC”. after that we got a binder that contains the rules and the card holder for a student card.
we are taught songs Bina Nusantara Mars, Mars Binusian and yel-yel 2019. Our BC also describes some important things like kind of campus life.
Day two
on the second day, my classmates just starting to gather on the 1st floor, then we were sent up into audit where there will be a session talk with the topic “BINUS way” that was delivered by deputy director DRS Andrew Chang, in this session we explain very much about BINUS, and was told the vision BINUS also reminded of the responsibility we as a BINUSIAN and we have to work as much as possible to achieve the dream of our own still and bring the good name BINUS univ. After that we went into the 401 room followed by “BINUSIAN journey” session which is brought by BC.
Day three
We went to audit again, this time “BURAM” which is the topic of our session, explained and introduced HMJ and UKM. Each club promote their club make the new students interested to join. But i only interested to join computers club (BNCC).
Day four
On this day we receive our jacket almameter. Thenwe were told to line up in the religion because the next session is a religion session. After that we continue with the next session together in one room, about BINUS rules, PTTKK, and talk about binusmaya. Our last exercise sang slogans directly DBN02 because the next day there is the togetherness.
Day five
This day we called “EXPO”, the IT students entered the SOCS (school of computer science) gathered in K3F HIMTI’s room. I surprised that we must participate HTTP because he said there will be a task of writing about HTTP to be rated and pay 150k rupiah and queue is long enough. After that we given free time to apply to UKM that we want. I just signed up at 2 UKM, BNCC and BNEC. After finish we go to main hall where is a session of togetherness from all classes of DBN01 until DBN20, we sang some songs and yel-yel.
